My name is Riley and I’m a two year old neutered, very playful and snuggly Maltese. Right now I’m living with my auntie because my Dad [80] has really bad cancer and is in the hospital. My Mom [70’s] has a lot of her own health issues. They rescued me from a lady who bought me from a breeder, but she had a fatal stroke when I was 4 months old. My Mom and Dad never intended to keep me, knowing I would probably outlive them. But they love me so much and it was hard to let go. Now things have changed and I need a forever home because I’ve got a long life ahead and they do not. My auntie [who is also old] is making sure I get the perfect home. She says I need someone 45-65 who has their own home and at least one person who’s home all day. [Yes, I can be left alone, but I get too lonely after two hours or so.] Another small, gentle, and playful dog would be fun! I LOVE to snuggle and sleep on your bed, play fetch, and go for long walks! I’m perfectly potty trained to go outside, but since I’m only 6 pounds, I need to be on a leash so coyotes and birds don’t mistake me for lunch. You’ll need to have a very welcoming lap because I love nothing better than snuggling in it on my back, paws up. Auntie would love for you to live in the Newport Beach area so I can visit from time to time [and be my “vacation place” when you go away]. Do you have a heart big enough for a little pup like me?

We’re uncertain about the identity of their daddy, but we think he must have been a big fella - because these puppies are little chunksters. The puppies could possibly weigh as much as 50 pounds when full grown. All the pups are full of puppy energy, love to play & explore, and love to snuggle up in any available lap. They are very bright puppies who are already making great progress with their potty training. We’re looking for adopters for them who are committed to investing time in the training and exercising that all puppies need. Adopters with large breed experience would be a big plus. Meet Jolene, the best dog EVER! She is about 3 years old and weighs about 35 pounds. She is a Cocker Spaniel mix, and we are guessing that maybe Golden Mix. She is cream-colored with a short tail. Jolene loves just about everyone she meets; she really likes to play with other dogs. She has great energy and will try to match yours.
