Amy
Age:2 Years Breed:

Posted:2010-03-26 Adopted:2010-05-17
Amy is a spayed female Keeshond mix approximately 2 years old. She is microchipped and has all her vaccines. Amy was rescued from the shelter and almost everyone who sees her says she is cute and looks like a puppy. She is full grown and weighs about 20 pounds. Amy is very loyal and she always wants to be part of the family. She loves to go for long walks, run and play. Amy would benefit from some basic obedience and appears to be very smart. She is not comfortable around children and needs to be in a home with only adults. She would do fine as an only dog, or possibly with one other dog her age. Abbie
Abbie
Age:2.5 Years Breed:
  • Bassett Hound
Posted:2010-05-10 Adopted:2010-05-12
My name is Abbie and I appear to be a Basset Hound-Bull Terrier Mix. My age is somewhere around 2.5 years and I weigh approximately 55 pounds. I love everyone, I like to cuddle, and I will hug you if given the chance. My loud yawns will make you laugh, every time, and so will my attempts to "talk" to you. My facial expression rarely changes, but you can tell how I'm feeling by how fast my tail wags and hits the ground when I'm sitting. I have different speeds for different emotions. I have had a received a complete behavioral evaluation from Dog E Daycare which I passed with flying colors. Unfortunately, my older adopted sister (Lab-Pit mix) and I have developed some strong sibling rivalry over our "Mom," which wasn't totally resolved with training. I would prefer a home with no other female dogs. I am current on all of my shots, have had annual exams and get monthly flea prevention. I will bring my own special bowl that helps me not eat so fast and I can bring my own bed and blanket. This is a courtesy listing. Madison
Madison
Age:4.5 Years Breed:
  • Carin Terrier
Posted:2010-04-16 Adopted:2010-05-10
Madison is a four and a half year old spayed female Cairn Terrier. She is up to date on all vaccines, microchipped, de-fleaed and dewormed. Madison is an absolute sweetheart. She just wants to please. She is one of the friendliest little dogs you will ever meet, she gets along with everyone and with all types of dogs. After a poor beginning where she was extremely neglected, she is now starting to play and is so darling the way she hops around after toys or a doggie playmate. She is realizing that life is getting better for her. Madison has an absolutely adorable habit of rolling over on her back the minute she sees you for tummy rubs. If you don't rub her tummy right away, she will gently paw the air with her front feet to get your attention. So cute! She is a real doll and will make a cuddly, loveable, faithful companion. For further information please email juliefochp@cox.net You may meet Madison at PETCO Newport Beach, 1280 Bison Ave. on Sunday from 12 - 3 pm.
Dickens
Dickens
Age:2 Years Breed:
  • Tibetan Terrier/Poodle
Posted:2010-03-17 Adopted:2010-05-10
Dickens is a neutered male Tibetan Terrier/Poodle mix. He is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations, and is very healthy. He is a mid-sized dog, weighing about 25 pounds. Dickens is a real character. He is extremely loving and wants to be around people at all times. Wherever you are, Dickens will make sure to curl up right at your feet. He would sleep on a bed of stones if it meant that he could just be near you. He loves to play with toys and runs all around with them in his mouth looking very goofy and endearing. His favorite pose is to lay down on his stomach with his back feet stretched out behind him. Dickens needs an owner willing to give him lots of attention and direction. He would make a nice family dog as he is good with children and is very gentle when taking treats or being handled. Dickens is very smart and will benefit greatly from a basic obedience class or two. Because of his intelligence, he tends to take matters into his own hands unless given clear directions. He wants to please, responds very well to commands, and is making great progress at a very rapid rate. He has obviously had no direction at all in his young life and was extremely neglected when we rescued him. He has been professionally groomed and had to have most of his glorious coat clipped off due to severe matting. With proper care and grooming, Dickens should have a mid-length, low to non-shedding soft white coat. Dickens would prefer to be the only dog in the home.
